Fell for this..like a fool! Incidentally, a few weeks later my debit card, which I had used to pay with, had to be destroyed due to several online attempts to use it by "someone other than myself"

Yes another one who fell for the scam. Very misleading. Ok my fault for not reading all the small print. Yet when the form was sent to me they had put extra information on it that didn't even apply to me. Haven't bothered to chase it... See Moreup. If they get it wrong again it would only fuel my anger. Have learnt a valuable lesson. read all small print. I just hope there is eventually a law brought out against these people and their scams are stopped, let them try and get an honest job after that.

I also fell for this dodgy site.Having not long come out of Hospital and on pain killers booked my flights then realized my passport needed renewing, typed in passport renewal and clicked on Passport direct.org.the first site to come up.They do warn you on the first page but only at the... See Moreend of a fairly nondescript information text that you have to read completely as the warning is in the last sentence, which I only read after I realized belatedly that it wasn't an official Gov' site.If you scroll down you are presented with 4 option panels all stating apply now.Once you click apply now you are taken to another page where you fill in your details. This has taken you away from their disclaimer which you have to scroll further down to read before clicking APPLY NOW.Neatly done it's there but they attract your attention so you don't scroll down any further .I am usually very careful but on this occasion got stung for £69. £3 less than the Pass[port will cost and about £63 more than the Post Office charges for the same service.I think Google need to take a look at their selves as they permit these ambiguous addresses.

I'm sorry but due to personal experience this website is exploiting a legal loophole, as legal as a "scam" can get.

In my opinion KevinF7 almost certainly does not have any personal problems. This appears to be a clear case of trolling to discredit someone whose experience rings very true with... See Moremine. I think it is slanderous for JohnD28 to be making the kind of accusations he has which leads me to question his possible links to the site in question. I am a professional person myself and the effective use of ICT and the internet is central to my work. Even I was drawn in by the site, in a hurry on a Saturday morning helping my wife renew her passport for a birthday treat. They direct you to the official passport service site and form before returning you to their site and making you pay to accept the "application". They claim to make checks / provide a 'service' but all that happens is they charge you to type all your information into the official form, and make you go through a payment gateway before the passport service send you a pre-printed pack which is available for free through their official site. Google must take some responsibility as they are paid to list this site higher than the official site, and due to them using a loophole it is very difficult legally get your money back. I don't believe the material cost of the 'service' is realistic as they do not appear to conduct any checks whatsoever and this argument is currently in the hands of my bank awaiting further action.

Avoid.
